The Cottage
Over the past two years this south facing light,
airy and cosy 4 person holiday cottage has undergone
a complete refurbishment programme to a very
high standard, whilst retaining much of the
charm and character of its heritage as an old
stable block.
The cottage has a sunny sitting room with a
coal fireplace and a new kitchen with an electric
oven, grill, hob, washing machine, fridge with
freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster,
pans and all necessary cooking/baking utensils.
There are two light bedrooms accommodating up
to four people - a double and twin beautifully
presented with fresh white cotton bedding from
the White Company and duvets, as well as a chest
of drawers and wardrobe in each.
The bathroom has a shower over the bath, a basin,
w.c., electric shaving point and constant hot
water. Bath towels are provided (you'll need
to bring your own beach towels).
Outside is a fully enclosed south facing walled
garden with table and chairs to sit outside
on those long Scottish summer evenings listening
to the birds and watching the wonderful array
of stars.
There is off-road parking for 2 cars in an open
garage. There is also a secure enclosed garage
for storing bikes, fishing tackle, golf clubs,
outdoor footwear, and for hanging up/drying
out washing and outdoor clothes.
We are glad to say that Oldhamstocks Cottage is definitely
not:
- Overly luxurious or large;
- In a busy or noisy urban environment;
- Lavishly decorated with kitsch furnishings or equipment;
- Run down, dirty, worn out or tired.
The good news is that Oldhamstocks Cottage definitely is:
- Newly refurbished, fresh, smart and lovingly looked after;
- Easily accessible, being on one level;
- Perfect for couples or families of up to 4 people;
- Arranged with 1 double bedroom and 1 small twin bedroom;
- Inclusive of central heating and electricity;
- Equipped with all the basic household items you would expect, including for instance a TV, VCR, DVD, CD and radio, iron & ironing board.
